The 2 road signs alert us to the upcoming sharp turn we must make. There is no possibilty of continuing on our current vector, a change must be made. The 2 pylons support high-tension power lines and they also alude to other tensions; ongoing climate change, the move to renewable energy sources and the presence of manmade structures in such wild and natural surroundings.
These pylons support high-tension power lines which once carried electricity generated from the burning of turf, or peat, at the Belacorrick Power Plant but these same lines are now connected to the Belacorrick Wind farm.
